I was born and brought up in South London to wonderful and loving parents. I went to Sacred Heart High School which was in Hammersmith West London, this was the same school that ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair’s daughter went to. It may not come as a surprise to you that my favourite subject in school was English. I loved writing stories and I would always get top marks in my English Class.
I decided there and then firstly that I wanted to become a journalist, so I did a degree in journalism. I got my first journalism work experience with a teenage magazine called Live my job there was the Health Editor. This was a very fun and rewarding job at the time, but I wanted to try my hands on other things, so I done work experience in television and radio presenting which I really enjoyed. But it is a really tough industry to get into very competitive.
After these work experiences that was or so I thought was the end of my career in the media and I went on to do temporary administration work. A role that I did not enjoy but I had to do them because I needed the money. We all know what that is like doing roles that are not enjoyable because we need the money.
But then my wonderful Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ found me, and brought me back onto the track to my writing career this time it was for His purpose and not for my own. And as they say the rest is history ‘Don’t Look Back – The Harmful Consequences of Backsliding’ was born.
As Christians we know that God has a purpose for each and everyone of us. We know that God has called us into a ministry for His Kingdom and he has given us the talent or gift to pursue the ministry, now what we do with the gift is up to us. But let me ask you the question do you think that you would be truly happy that you did not fulfill your God given destiny? I know I wouldn’t if I did not take the step to write this book, I would not have fulfilled the destiny God has for me and he would have given it to someone else, and I would have loosed out. After all we are put on this earth to do His Holy works and not our own.
I hope I can be an encouragement to you to pursue your God given destiny. God has not given you the Spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind. You do not have to be stuck in a job that you dislike just to make ends meat as the Bible says God has given us the ability to produce wealth. So what is truly holding you back? God has opened so many doors for me this book is now worldwide, and the best thing about it is I believe this book will help a lot of people come to repentance and to return back to their first love which is Christ. To him be the Glory!
I am so looking forward to more of the plans that God has for my life and nothing can hold me back. For if God is for me who can be against me.
